AI should make peoplemore capable. Not more replaceable.

Friday Labs is named for the outcome we want: systems that take repetitive work off people's plates so more of the week feels like Friday. We build AI around employees so they have more time to think, decide, and create.

Why we started Friday Labs.

To the people building with us,

I got early access to GPT-3 before ChatGPT existed. It was still rough around the edges, but it was immediately clear to me that this technology was going to change how people worked.

I started connecting GPT-3 to Make.com and using it to automate parts of my job. At night, I built random AI systems with the same tools, tested what was possible, and shared the experiments on Twitter. People started reaching out asking if I could build similar systems for their businesses.

Within three months, I left my job. Gavin left his too, and we went all in together on a business we called Automation Unlocked. As we grew beyond automation and began offering a broader range of AI systems and services, we renamed the company Friday Labs.

We chose the name because it described what we were trying to give clients: less repetitive work, more capacity, and more days that felt like Friday.

We did not start Friday Labs to replace people. We started it because we saw how much more capable people could become when software handled the repetitive work around them. That is still the reason we build.

How we think about AI.

01

Start with the person doing the work.

They know what needs judgment, what is repetitive, and what a better system should actually change.

02

Automate the repetition.

Let systems carry the collection, routing, follow-up, and reporting. Keep people in charge of the decisions.

03

Give the capacity back to the team.

The point is better work, faster learning, and more room for customers, creativity, and growth.
